Wax is easy to use. Melted really well. However I had little problems centering the wicks with wick holders

For the most part I love this kit and will be reordering. I love the quality of the wax. The wax melts fairly easy. Holds fragrance very well. I do not suggest mason jars unless the bottom is totally flat and you use two wicks.

  4. Chris Torres

I like the fact that this was very easy use, and fun once I figured everything out as far as adding scents and setting the candles. The kids had a great time doing this! I hate the fact that within a week, when I went back to buy more the price had gone up.

  5. Karen

This was easy to use, and a generous amount. Would be better if it included instructions. Arrived quickly. I liked it. Just melt the wax in a double boiler and pour into jars. Does not include adhesive dots for the wicks but hot glue can be used.

  6. Adam

It was my first time making candles and this wax was super easy to use!! Melted quickly, odorless. My only issue was the pieces that hold up the wick aren’t the best quality, they were a struggle. I ended up using a pen to do the job so that the candle wicks won’t come off.

  7. Linda R.

My candles turned out fantastic and they’re lasting a long time. Will always use this brand of soy wax!

  8. John

I was on a roll coming up with summer projects to do with my kids, and making candles is something they wanted to do! This kit makes it so much easier than it’s been for us in the past – everything is included – wick, wax. It’s perfect for the former crafty person turned busy parent. So far we’ve only made candles in teacups, but now they are trying to save all of our recyclables to make more. The candles burn cleanly and evenly. I have to say I’m very impressed and will buy again.

  9. Eric Avila

First time candle makers. This product was so easy to work with. It holds our fragrances very well. We made 24-8 oz candles and still have enough left to do 2 more. Have not tried burning yet but we are sure they will burn beautifully! Very pleased and will buy again!

  10. Mary Ann

We made small essential oil candles to give with Christmas gifts and it melted well and we still have some left. It was our first time making candles and it worked well for us.

  11. Jeanette

Used for wax melts…worked amazing! A little goes a long way!!

  12. Beatrice

Great product and would recommend. Made a couple of candles over the weekend with the wax and the wax melted bery smoothly. My candles also seem to burn well so far as far as the wax and the wicks. I like that they added the wicks and centering devices to the wax order. I would recommend this product.

  13. Aubrey K.

Melts great. I use an old sauce pan and watch wax melt. Then remove it from stove immediately.
Don’t bother buying the recommended melting pot. I just went to the thrift store

  14. Grace

Very easy to use and fun! I used an instant pot and crayons to color the candles. I put broken crayons and the wax in jars and placed them in a water bath. It only took 40 minutes (topping them off after 20) to fully melt and then took them out, added fragrance oil and wicks then let them set. I poured some wax into tins as well for fun. This was my very first time making candles.

Easy melt in microwave or double boiler. New at candlemaking but already having problems with this brand’s cold and hot throw. I’ve tried several batches and will keep trying to get a good cold and hot throw, especially since I purchased 20 lbs of this wax. The site recommends adding scent and color at 180 degrees and pouring at 150.

How do you get the wicks to stick to the bottom of a container?
You can add a little wax or tape to the bottom of the wick in order for it to properly stick to the container.

What are the wicks made out of?
The wicks are made with 100% cotton, and are pre-waxed with soy wax.

What is the length and width of the wicks provided?
Our wicks are 6’’ long and 5 cm in diameter.

What temperature should I add wax or dyes?
180° F degrees is the best temperature to add wax and dyes, once it is fully mixed in together, lower it to 150° F before pouring. **Note: When adding scents and dyes to your candles, please be aware that a large ratio of scents/dyes to the wax can influence the burning effectiveness, causing smoke and reducing the ability of your candles to stay lit.**

Why isn’t my wick burning cleanly?
We recommend that you trim your wick to ¼ inch before each lighting for a smooth burning.
